Levels of intensity
Consent must be freely given, specific and ongoing. Either person can change their mind or stop at any time. This checklist is a discussion aid, not a contract.

Review & acknowledgement
We understand that this checklist is a conversation starter, not a permanent contract. A “yes” is not blanket permission, and a “maybe” is not consent. Preferences and limits can change. Any activity can be paused or stopped at any time without punishment or retaliation.
Consent is ongoing. Any activity can be paused or stopped at any time.

Not included – out of scope for this checklist
- Anything involving minors or age-based roleplay, real animals, non-consensual scenes, coercion or abuse.
- Choking, strangulation or any breath restriction, and anything covering the nose and mouth.
- Blood play, cutting, needles, knives, fire, burning, branding, or anything that breaks the skin.
- Hitting with improvised objects, figging, hot sauce, soap in the mouth, electrical play (including violet wands), weighted clamps, or striking unsafe body areas.
- Withholding food, water, medication, bathroom access, hygiene, sleep or warmth; forced fasting or sleep deprivation.
- Cold showers or baths, ice on skin or genitals, spraying water or substances at the face.
- Forced eating, licking the floor, or being made to consume something disliked.

- Kneeling on rice, walking on painful objects, or positions that strain the body.
- Smoking tobacco, cannabis or other drugs as punishment, and unsupervised or prolonged chastity or wearable-device use.
- Public play, public errands in minimal clothing, public scolding, non-consensual guests, or staging an accident in public.
- Recording or sharing images, audio or video without separate explicit permission.
- Gore, vomit, faeces, vore, amputation or death fantasies, or fetishising a person’s disability, illness or injury.
- Deliberately risking infection (including STIs), or any play while drunk or high.
- Punishing a safe word, refusal, changed mind, illness, distress or request for help.
Before any scene
- Agree the exact activity, intensity, duration and when it ends.
- Agree a safe word, a non-verbal stop signal and how you will check in. “Stop” always means stop immediately.
- Keep food, water, sleep, warmth, medication, bathroom access, hygiene and communication available.
- Either person may pause or stop without argument or retaliation.
- Check in afterwards: what worked, what did not, and whether to change the agreement. Aftercare is never withheld.
